Love & Hate
People say that ”hate” is a strong word, but look at “love”; people throw it around like it is nothing. I read somewhere before that people only “hate” what they do not understand, because it is easier to hate than to make an attempt to understand. I have found this to true. On the other hand … look at the word “love,” people throw it around like loose change in their pockets. Because of society, “love” has lost its true meaning to many people. How many people in this world will tell someone they love them just to get what they want? A lot. That is pathetic. Is this really what this world has come to? I thought I knew what love was … but now I realize I was wrong. I’ve had a taste of something much better … which now I do know is love. Love is loyalty, caring, longing, wanting, getting on each other’s nerves but smiling the whole time, not being able to live without each other, protecting each other, never giving up, trying, keeping each other grounded, happiness, and so much more. Don’t tell someone you love them just to get what you want, tell them you love them because you mean it. Because all you want in this world is for them to know you love them and are in-love with them. Be happy. At the same time, don’t tell someone you hate them just because you don’t understand. Either try to understand, or just choose to let it go.
